How to make high cholesterol irrelavant
Pfizer announced over the past weekend that they were shutting down trails on their hoped to be blockbuster drug torcetrapib.
Said drug would be marketed to reduce cholesterol.
Seems one of the effects was death. Yep the death rate for subjects taking the drug was over 60% greater than the death rate for subjects doing nothing.
Imagine if half the money spent on said drug was spent on nutrition education… we’d see a reduction in cholesterol and a DECREASE in deaths.
Just a thought.
