What would you do to be happy?
Seems like we spend a lot of time acquiring “things” to make us happy.
According to University of Michigan psychologist Chris Peterson, feeling gratitude and forgiveness are the best ways to experience happiness.
Expressing sincere gratitude - i.e., saying “Thank you” – not only makes the recipient feel good. It also makes you feel good.
Forgiveness can have an even stronger effect. We often think forgiving someone for something benefits only that person. In reality, forgiving someone – even ourselves – for something, releases hurt and anger and opens us up to peace and happiness.
Gratitude and forgiveness… they don’t cost anything and they don’t collect dust.
